Podľa Národného štatistického úradu (Office for National Statistics) sa ročné mzdy líšia v závislosti od pracovnej profesie. Napríklad makléri zarábajú až 40-krát viac ako ľudia, ktorí sa starajú o bezpečnosť detí na ceste do školy.

Priemerná ročná mzda u 21 563 000 ľudí, ktorí sa zúčastnili tejto štúdie bola  £27 271.
